Kutju - One

Kutju - One

Kutju - One is the inaugural exhibition of the Western Desert Mob artists from the Aboriginal communities located in the remote Ngaanyatjarra Lands, Western Australia.

The Western Desert Mob is a group of art centres, whose artists are producing exceptional artworks that share stories of country, culture and family. The Kutju exhibition celebrates the connections and continuity between artists across this desert region and launches the Western Desert Mob - a group that showcases the best of Aboriginal owned and managed art enterprises.

Kutju is a vibrant and inspiring illustration of men and women, young and old, painting and weaving tjukurrpa (dreaming stories) and contemporary tales. The paintings and 3D art are energetic, dynamic and diverse, reflecting each artist's unique style, stories and connection to country.

This special exhibition brings the Western Desert Mob together as Kutju - ‘one'.
